Weighing nearly 340 pounds each, the sarcophagi are carried out of the tomb by members of the team for nearly 2 kilometers to be stored in a highly protected and secure building. Inside, specialists will study and restore the objects. As there is no particular access route to this building, the porters cross through the vestiges of the funerary temple of Pepi I (which was reconstructed in 3-D on photo 66).
