Map 1: Pakistan and the Bugti Territory: With an area of 10,000 square kilometers, Bugti land houses 30,000 people. Nicknamed ‘Allah’s hell’ by the Pakistani people because of its dry climate and arid land, Bugti land is located in the Baluchistan region, the most arid province in the country. Bugti land is a lawless place, as the Pakistani army only controls two of the major arterials. It is one of 5 autonomous territories near the Afghan border where Pakistani law does not apply.
