Val de Loire - Indre et Loire (37) - Château du Clos Lucé : Façade sud est. Léonard de Vinci arrive ici en 1516, à l'âge de 64 ans. Au premier plan, le Parc Léonard de Vinci, avec une maquette de l'hélice volante, réalisée d'après les dessins du maître. Considérée comme une anticipation de l'hélicoptère, elle révèle sa grande connaissance de l'aérodynamisme. Bien que, au XVIème siècle, on ne disposait pas de l'énergie suffisante pour faire fonctionner ce type de machine. // France - Loire Valley - Indre et Loire (37) - Castle of Clos Lucé : South east facade. Leonardo da Vinci arrives here in 1516, at the age of 64 years. In the foreground, the Leonardo da Vinci Park, with a model of the flying propeller, made from the drawings of the master. Considered as an anticipation of the helicopter, it reveals his great knowledge of aerodynamics. Although, in the sixteenth century, there was not enough energy to operate this type of machine.
