Preserved in the small local museum of Monterenzio, this weapons collection was discovered at the site of Apennines Mountains. Recent scientific studies indicate that the Celts had quite sophisticated weapons technology. Each sword, sheath, spear and helmet had its own particular dosage of steel, iron and malleable sheet metal. Not even the Greeks or the Romans had this know-how, and today’s blacksmiths find themselves struggling to re-create these objects with such precision.
