The southern part of the roadway (on the right) was pushed a distance of 171 meters in mid air before joining the northern part.  The metallic red structure framing the northern roadway served as a guide during the junction.  It was also a scaffolding for the welders who assembled the two parts of the bridge in about 40 hours.
