Battle of the Somme: At Doullens, the Hall of Unique Command, where french Marshal Foch took power over the whole of the allied armies. March 21, 1918, it is the Ludendorff offensive, which is poised to lead a military disaster in allies. On March 26, the presidents Poincaré and Clemenceau, the generals Foch and Petain, Lord Milner and General Haig meet in the city of Doullens and decided to create a single command, led by Foch. Under his leadership, the cons-offensive of summer and autumn of 1918 lead to the end of the war. The window that evokes the event is made by Gerard Ansart.
