A l'occasion du début des commémorations de la Grande Guerre, reportage sur les sites commémoratifs majeurs (monuments, cimetières nationaux, alliés et allemands, ossuaires) ainsi que sur les sites des principaux champs de bataille où l’on peut encore, près de cent ans plus tard, constater les stigmates des combats (champs de batailles, tranchées, cratères et champs de mines, villages détruits, anciens forts, galeries souterraines et sapes, etc.). Les images à mi-hauteur permettent de situer ces sites, considérés comme stratégiques à l’époque, dans leur environnement et de comprendre pourquoi ces endroits ont été choisis à l’époque par les états majors des deux camps. C’est aussi l’occasion de regarder le travail de la nature, cent ans durant, pour reprendre progressivement possession des lieux.

On the occasion of the commemoration of the beginning of the Great War, photo report on major memorials (monuments, French, Allied and German cemeteries, ossuaries) as well as on the websites of major battlefields where you can still almost hundred years later, see the scars of battles (battlefields, trenches, craters and minefields, destroyed villages, ancient forts, mines and saps, etc.). Images at mid-height make possible to locate these sites, considered strategic at the time, in their environment and to understand why these locations were selected at the time by the staffs of the two camps. This is also an opportunity to look at the work of nature, one hundred years on end, to gradually take possession.
