At the height of the portals of the west facade. South of the facade, the Portal of Saint Anne, whose sculptures (executed 1160) are the oldest of Notre Dame. At the forefront of the tympanum, the Virgin in majesty presents the baby Jesus, according to Roman tradition. It is surrounded by two angels and a bishop and a king standing on his knees, probably the founder of the Merovingian church. Altitude 11 meters.
