La façade ouest de Notre Dame au lever du jour. Au pied du parvis, le point kilométrique zéro, qui marque la croisée de toutes les routes de France. Au centre, la flèche, réédifiée au XIXe siècle sur les soubassements de l'ancienne, abattue sous la Révolution. Au premier plan de g. à d., la rue d'Arcole, le parvis Notre Dame, le bras sud de la Seine et le quai de Montebello. En arrière plan de g. à d.; l'église Saint Gervais et le Quartier Latin.
