Found in Meroe, this double statue in basalt shows a queen and a prince each wearing a Meroitic costume with the sash drapped over the right shoulder. The prince is raising his right arm behind the head of the queen as is supporting her tall crown. Their eyes were inlaid, something rare in Kushite art. Both were holding in their hands an object now missing. 2nd century AD.
