Located in the steppes of Butana, 120 km southwest of Meroe and 20 km of Mussawarat, Naga is one of the most beautiful Meroitic sites. Builded near a major city (not excavated), the temple of Apedemak (or Temple of the Lion), built by King Natakamani in the first century AD. The team of Dr. Salah El Din Ahmed Mohammed (right), a famous archaeologist  and director of excavations of the NCAM (National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums) makes visit to Menno Welling (left), from ICOMOS.
