The medieval city (and its " jurisdiction ") has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1999. It constitutes" the remarkable example of a historic wine-growing landscape that has survived intact "and" illustrates in an exceptional manner the intensive cultivation of the vine in wine in a precisely delimited region ”.
